Bhairavi Desai, the executive director of the New York Taxi Workers Alliance and other protesters damand apology for being unfairly smeared by the TLC.
Are the city's cab drivers owed an apology?
Last week the city said cabbies were deliberately overcharging hundreds of riders for millions of dollars.
Now the cab drivers say the equipment is at fault -- not them -- and their reputations have been damaged.
Earlier this week, the city did amend it's original findings, saying far fewer drivers were actually over-charging riders on purpose.
The taxi and limousine commission says many cabbies were pushing the wrong button on the meter by accident... Charging suburban rates for city fares.
The drivers now say the equipment needs to be fixed to resolve the problem.
