The shoe situation was chaotic right off the bat, as those in the know made a beeline for the bags (we got cut by four people in the time it took to snap this picture).

There were great deals on jeans, bringing prohibitively pricey pairs from the $200-plus ranges down to below $100 (we snagged Current/Elliott destroyed skinnies for $69).

Downstairs in men's, of course, the atmosphere was relaxed while stylish hipsters took their time trying on hats.

The boys have an entire section of outerwear, with Moncler, Belstaff, Rag & Bone and more, but we might gamble on waiting for further markdowns, prices still seemed steep.

Tucked away in the corner, between the exit and men's shirts, was the curiosities section of the Barneys Warehouse Sale. Here's your one-stop shop for bedazzled "Queen of Bling" greeting cards, Nerf-like lawn bowling sets, $3 Barneys New York Christmas ornaments and glittered fake flower bouquets.
