Man Riding on Subway Roof Hits Head, Falls and Dies: Police

    A 45-year-old man who was riding on top of a subway car on the Upper East Side died after he hit his head on a beam and fell between two train cars, police said. 
    The man, who police say may be homeless, was taken to Metropolitan Hospital after the 6 train accident at the Lexington Avenue and 96th Street subway station around noon Wednesday. 

    He later died, police said.
