1. NJ Lawmakers Unveil Proposed Legislation to Legalize Marijuana

New Jersey lawmakers have unveiled their latest proposal to legalize recreational marijuana for people 21 and over.

A joint Democrat-led Assembly and Senate committee is expected to discuss the package of measures Monday.

One bill provides for legalizing an ounce of marijuana for adults 21 and older, setting up a five-person cannabis commission and taxing the substance at 12 percent.

2. Explosion Follows Transformer Fire on Upper West Side: FDNY

A small explosion went off at an Equinox on the Upper West Side on Sunday, blowing out windows, the FDNY said.

No one was injured.

At 6:19 p.m., there was a small explosion in the basement of the gym on Broadway between 91st and 92nd streets.

3. Amtrak Heading to Boston Stuck in NYC for Hours: Passengers

An Amtrak train en route to Boston was stuck in Queens for more than five hours with "no functional restrooms," passengers said.

The toilets started flushing again and the train finally started moving after about six hours. It arrived in Boston more than 10 hours after it left New York, Amtrak said.

Amtrak said debris on overhead wires caused the delays, but it wasn't clear why the train was stuck so long.
