In the successful new flick "The Hunger Games," Jennifer Lawrence plays Katniss Everdeen, a young girl who becomes a reluctant star as part of the Capitol's terrible games. Her character in the movie undergoes a transformation from tomboy to glamour girl (all for the cameras), and Lawrence herself as become a red carpet darling.

Since the start of 2012, Lawrence has made appearances at a number of events to promote her latest film, and each time she's demonstrated a flare for style that's both daring and event-appropriate. For the L.A. premiere of "Hunger Games," Lawrence sported a look-at-me gold gown that came straight off It-designer Prabal Gurung's Fall 2012 runway.
For the Berlin premiere of the movie, the "girl on fire" (as she becomes known in the movie) sported a fire-engine red Marchesa dress.

At the movie's Paris premiere, Lawrence had the honor of wearing a slinky piece from Tom Ford's previously unseen Fall 2012 collection. (The only other actress who had worn a piece from the collection was Gwyneth Paltrow at the Oscars.)
At a conference in Mexico City to promote the film, Lawrence opted for red yet again with this simple, form-fitting sheath dress.

At a special screening of the movie in New York, Lawrence sported a jaw-dropping sexy dress by Calvin Klein that featured a plunging neckline and a lush, green color.
Lawrence has proven her mettle on the late night circuit as well: Here, the actress is shown wearing another chic dress by Prabal Gurung at a taping for the "Late Show with David Letterman."
Proving she can also be something of a quick-change artist, she also wore this flirty black dress by Raoul to the show's taping.
Lawrence's daytime outfits have also shown a playful sense of chic. Here, she wears a Parisian-inspired look from Holmes & Yang (Katie Holmes' label with her stylist) to a "Good Morning America" taping.
In addition to the cast's television appearances, the "Hunger Games" crew also made several mall appearances. At this one, Lawrence wore a chic draped Elie Saab jacket over an all-black ensemble.

Before the press tour kicked off, Lawrence was selected to help announce the Academy Awards nominees in January. For the event, she sported a fashion-forward look from Prada's spring collection.

Of course, who could forget the bold Viktor & Rolf dress Lawrence wore to the People's Choice Awards? Surely even the residents of the fictional Capitol in "Hunger Games" would have been impressed by this dazzling, swirling look.
