Two people were shot in Brooklyn Monday evening, blocks from where the West Indian Day Parade rolled through hours earlier.

The FDNY says emergency responders were called to 1680 Bedford Ave. in Crown Heights at about 5:40 p.m. and found two people shot, one of them with a graze wound. The victims were taken to Kings County Hospital.

Both are expected to survive. Police were looking for two gunmen.

The West Indian Day Parade, the largest in the city, has been the site of violence in recent years. There was a heavy police presence along the parade route Monday. It wasn't clear if the shootings were connected to the parade.
