Photographer Spotlight: Thomas Whiteside

Thomas Whitehead always knew he'd end up making images one way or another. "I was that little kid who would spend hours drawing or painting -- everyone knew me as 'the little artist,'" he says. "Then I started taking photos and making short movies as a teen. I realized that taking a photo was similar to painting -- framing the subject, creating a story with one image. I guess that was when I really fell in love with photography."
