    VIVA STATEN ISLAND CHUCK

    The groundhog who made a morning snack out of Mayor Bloomberg's finger before predicting six more weeks of winter is getting 15 more minutes of fame. For a $20 you can own a t-shirt of Staten Island Chuck, who appears to be channeling Che Guevara.  Brooklyn native Devery Doleman designed the shirts. Doleman told the Staten Island Advance he's sold 20 of them so far.

    ATLANTIC CITY IS  BETTING ON ACES

    The latest move to drum up business by the struggling Jersey Shore gambling mecca rolls down the tracks today in the form of a fancy double decker express train. The Atlantic City Express Service (ACES) will travel between New York's Penn Station and the Atlantic City station making one stop in Newark.  Fares start at $50 for a one way trip.

    SIX FIGURE MIDDLE CLASS

    Where does making $123,000 a year feel like only $50,000? Answer: New York. A study released Thursday by the Center for an Urban Future said the cost of living is so high, New Yorkers need to make at least six figures to reach middle class status.

    GUITAR BANDITS PICKED UP BY POLICE 

    What started as an ebay auction for a high end guitar ended up being the tip police in New Jersey needed to nab a bunch of masked bandits who stole about $7,000 worth of expensive guitars from an apartment in Roselle Park.  According to the Star Ledger, the seller had unknowingly purchased the stolen guitar from the suspects and the whole thing was caught on survellience tape. Using that tape police were able to identify the suspects.
