A woman trying to ignore a man who was trying to talk to her at a lower Manhattan subway station was spat at and slashed in the arm Saturday, according to police.
The man was trying to engage the 34-year-old victim in conversation inside the Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall subway station just before 6 p.m., police said.
The woman ignored him, so he spat at the victim, who laughed at the suspect in response, authorities said. The suspect then allegedly took out a sharp instrument, slashed the woman in the arm and fled.
The victim was taken to Beekman Hospital where she was treated and released.
Police released surveillance photos and videos of the suspect (above). Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
