The fashion world turned out for Google's Boutiques.com launch party last night, seemingly more out of curiosity than anything. The vibe, as expected, felt rather like a tech company's idea of what a "fashion party" would be: lavish, massive, and over-the-top.

The interior of the massive space on Hudson Street was divided into a slew of smaller, decorated interior spaces. (Of course, the VIP area -- where folks like Harvey Weinstein and Carey Mulligan could hang out -- was roped off to the pedestrians.)

Elsewhere, models posed on pedestals wearing some seriously high-end gear. While this was likely the only fashion-centric element of the party, it also had the same slightly sterile vibe that carried through the rest of the event.

Other spaces featured grassy lawns, and a swing set and croquet set.

A room toward the back of the space featured a space-y bubble chair and metal sculpture.
