At Bathing Ape's party Friday night, celebrating the re-launch of their London store, we saw door pandemonium at 24 Kingly Street reach a new level. That could be because BAPE has perhaps the most ferociously loyal following in the world - and has proven that if you have a bullet proof business plan (they do) than a recession only causes nick marks.
Now, what could really hurt though is trying to get in though the doors of a party given by a company whose mantra is "ape shall not kill ape." We were pretty sure we saw some trying to do just that. Oh, and we feel rather victorious that we did make it in, given that even Leonardo DiCaprio and Michelle Williams (the Destiny's Child one) tried ahead to do just that -- and were thwarted.
