A pair of Columbia University students were robbed at gunpoint in their apartment late Monday, police said.

Two robbers knocked on the students’ door at the the university-owned building on West 111th Street in Morningside Heights, police say.

When one of the students answered, the two masked men burst in, flashed a gun and demanded cash, saying “Where’s the money?”

Then, police say, they tied the student up with zip ties and took cash and a cell phone from the apartment.

One of the robbers left, and the second was on his way out when the victim’s roommate came home. The remaining robber hit him in the head with the butt of his gun and left, police said.

The roommate was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for cuts and released.
