An 11-year-old boy who went out to buy milk at the grocery store was struck and killed by an SUV as he crossed the street Wednesday morning.

Police and witnesses said the child had darted into traffic on a Grand Concourse service road near 184th Street when he was hit.

The driver was not believed to be speeding and reportedly had a green light at the time.

The boy was pronounced dead at the hospital. His parents and two siblings were escorted there by police officers.
