Authorities are looking for a man suspected of decapitating chickens in a New Jersey cemetery.
Capt. James Sarnicki tells the Homes News Tribune that Leonard Edwards Jr. was seen using machetes to decapitate and kill several chickens in Rosehill Cemetery on July 31.
Sarnicki says the 41-year-old man placed the dead birds by some gravesites and smeared blood on headstones.
An arrest warrant was issued for Edwards, of Wharton. He faces animal cruelty and unlawful possession of a weapon charges.
Police believe it was some type of religious or cultural ritual.
