The Big Apple took first place in various categories, including the city with the most jewelry stores, florists and chocolate shops per capita, WalletHub reported. Los Angeles and Miami were also tied for first place when it came to jewelry stores and florists per capita. New York City shared the honors of having the most chocolate shops per capita with San Francisco and Honolulu, Hawaii.
The top two cities with the lowest average ticket prices for a Valentine’s Day party are in the Midwest, with Omaha, Nebraska, taking the top spot, according to WalletHub. A city in upstate New York did not fare as well in this category. Buffalo, New York, was ranked among the cities with the highest average ticket price for a Valentine’s Day party.

Newark, New Jersey, is among the most expensive places for a meal for two on Valentine’s Day. New Jersey’s largest city also ranks low when it comes to the amount of chocolate shops per capita, according to WalletHub.

When it comes to the best weather forecast for Valentine’s Day, Henderson, Nevada, and Scottsdale, Arizona, were tied as the cities with the best weather. Surprisingly, Miami, known for its sunny days, was among the cities with the worst weather forecast for the holiday. Atlanta, Georgia, was crowned the city with the worst weather forecast for Valentine's Day, WalletHub reported.
What city took the overall top spot as the best place for Valentine’s Day? WalletHub crowned San Francisco the overall best city for lovebirds this holiday based on its modest budget, activities offered and gift accessibility ranks. San Diego, Las Vegas, Orlando, and Chicago rounded out the top five places. The city of Portland, Oregon, came in seventh place, followed by Seattle, Washington. WalletHub ranked Honolulu, Hawaii, and Los Angeles as the No. 9 and No. 10 spots, respectively. The city of Hialeah, Florida, was the overall worst city to spend Valentine's Day.
