1. Lighting Hits NY Man, Who Walks Away Practically Unharmed

There's lucky and then there's getting hit by lightning on the foot and walking away lucky. 

A 48-year-old Long Island man who was working construction in Bay Shore on Monday was hurt after a thunderbolt struck on or possibly near his foot. 

The man escaped with only minor injuries. 

Paramedics checked the man out. They said he was OK, but he went to an area hospital just out of caution.

2. Lyft to Bring 100 Wheelchair-Friendly Vehicles to NYC

A popular ride-sharing company is looking to be more wheelchair-friendly in the Big Apple. 

Lyft is bringing 100 wheelchair-accessible vehicles to all five boroughs by the end of the year. 

The company said the it's been in the works for months and will include different minivan models.
