Brooklyn Bridge Park will again host free outdoor movie nights on Thursdays in July and August.

Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy this week announced plans for its free summer movie nights, and the theme for 2009 is all about crime: capers, thrillers and heists.

The full schedule of eight flicks is filled with the likes of "To Catch A Thief," "The Return of the Pink Panther" and "Paper Moon."

The series kicks off July 9 with "To Catch a Thief" and ends August 27 with "Edward Scissorhands." All screenings are on Thursday nights, weather permitting as the shows are outdoors adjacent to the Brooklyn Bridge .

The movies screen on the lawn of the Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park section of Brooklyn Bridge Park . Brooklyn DJs will play music before each screening. Scheduled to perform are DJ DRM, Monk One, Soulstatic and others.

The HBOBryant Park Summer Film Festival will start June 15, but the films for the 2009 season have not yet been announced.
