Stylist-turned-designer Rachel Zoe staged a full-blown runway show at the Empire Hotel to showcase her latest effort (she's been holding presentations for several seasons). The collection took its cues from the '70s and rock and roll.
Major editors made an appearance front row including Glamour's Cindy Lieve and Allure's Linda Wells, but it was also a family affair. Zoe's infant son, Skyler, sat front row on someone's lap, while husband Rodger Berman stood in the back rocking along to the show's soundtrack.
The show included tons of faux fur, something that has become something of a trademark of Zoe's, on everything from collars to hats.
Zoe, who originally made her name dressing stars for the red carpet, showed evening wear that paid homage to Halston.
Marianne Faithful served as inspiration for the off-the-shoulder jackets and and knits in the collection.
Zoe's collection is rapidly evolving. Not only has she expanded into handbags and shoes, she recently announced she will begin creating jewelry and cold weather accessories. Here, a new necklace from her collection.
While most of the looks in the collection seem poised to hit the floor of retailers, there were more risqué looks, including this shear gown.
Pantsuits have also become a Zoe signature. They came in several varieties this season including this version with cropped pants.
Odile Gilbert of Kerastas did the hair for the show, which was sexy and undone with a single fishtail braid. Makeup was a simple smoky eye created by Charlotte Tilbury for Maybelline New York.
Zoe took her bow in a black version of one of the gowns that she showed on the runway.
