Last week, Parisian fashion and music brand, Maison Kitsune, made its New York debut, opening doors to its sunny corner boutique at the Nomad Hotel. Designed to evoke the ambiance of an old French apartment, the luxurious space—curated by founders Gildas Loaëc (former manager of Daft Punk) and Masaya Kuroki—has an old fashioned feel, with silk carpeting, glinting marble and patterned wood floors.

The store's spring collection, we were pleased to discover, was inspired by "The Great Gatsby." Clearly, the Maison Kitsuné team was in touch with this season's Roaring '20s trend.

The '20s mood was especially apparent in this unusual tweed blazer ($1299), which is manufactured in the same factory used by Chanel. The elongated silhouette and lean black piping give the jacket a modern look.

A special Liberty print with a colored feather motif was developed specifically for Maison Kitsuné's spring collection. Here, the textile makes an appearance on a see-through pocket blouse ($599).

This simple sleeveless dress in a golden-brown silk was one of our favorites from the spring collection. With slim pleats down the front and a waist-cinching belt, the piece could be a perfect candidate for summer weddings ($899).

Michel Vivien's strappy red sandal in super soft suede ($620) add a pop of color against the pastel-colored collection palette.

In addition to their own ready to wear, the Maison Kitsuné boutique offers gift-able selections from luxe labels like WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie, Monocle, and Aesop.

Aesop's clever "Jet Set" kit is perfect for weary travelers staying at the NoMad Hotel, and comes complete with shampoo, conditioner, and the brand's ever-popular Geranium Leaf body wash.

Gildas Loaëc's killer music compilations for Maison Kitsuné make a terrific addition to the store. Here, a vinyl edition with bumping tracks from the Drums, Logo and Two Door Cinema Club.

Kitsune's preppy French-American aesthetic lends itself easily to menswear. Here, a classic bow-tied ensemble with suspenders.

Plaid sports jackets with shock-white piping had a distinctly "Gatsby-ish" appeal.

This preppy pink cashmere cardigan has a unisex appeal and bears Kitsune's signature French fox ($749). Visit Maison Kitsuné at 28th and Broadway at the NoMad Hotel.
