In case you haven't noticed, Barack Obama is no Michelle when it comes to fashion. An astute reporter has noticed the President only wears red or blue ties. Sometimes they're striped or flecked, but invariably red or blue. Snooze. Fashion people think that eventually he'll "shake things up so much in terms of conformity" and wear silver or finely patterned ties. They have a point — it's not hard for us to imagine Barack in a tie covered in teeny tiny puppies. [NYDN]
