No offense, but if the opening drift-down-through-the-clouds shot of a frog plucking a banjo as he wistfully warbles about ‘lovers, dreamers, and me’ doesn’t move you, you’re pretty much dead inside.

So begins 1979’s musical/buddy movie/roadtrip/pastiche ‘The Muppet Movie’ -- the first and arguably the best of five Muppet full-length features – and Kermit’s ‘Rainbow Connection’ (Oscar-nommed for Best Song, by the way, but it lost to some piece of piffle from ‘Norma Rae’ – travesty!) is just one of the iconic moments we can’t wait to relive on the big screen at BAM’s special 30th Anniversary screening tomorrow night.

For an extra helping of Muppet greatness, check out the Muppets History 201 program of rare shorts and TV segments featuring Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie and the gang (and their human paterfamilias Jim Henson), presented by Henson Legacy veep Craig Shemin.
