Brynn Gingras joined the NBC 4 New York team in April 2012 as a general assignment reporter. You’ll see her reports on several newscasts and platforms, as she travels across the tri-state area gathering news and covering breaking stories.
Brynn came to News 4 after spending two years with sister station NBC Connecticut. There, she served in the station’s New Haven bureau and reported on the morning newscasts. She covered big stories like the trials for Cheshire home invasion suspects Joshua Komisarjevsky and Steven Hayes, Hurricane Irene, and the state’s budget crisis.
Prior to that, Brynn was the evening anchor at KMIZ , the ABC /FOX affiliate in Columbia, Missouri. Before being seen in front of the camera, Brynn worked for CBS News Productions in New York City helping create documentaries and reality shows.
Brynn graduated from Yale University with a bachelor’s degree in American Studies. She spent much of her time on the basketball court as the starting point guard for the Bulldogs and was captain her senior year.
Brynn now gives back to her school helping recruit aspiring Yale students. Brynn also works with the Ronald McDonald house and mentoring young students.
