Man Arrested in Killing of Brooklyn Landlord Found in Long Island Trash Bin: Sources

Menachem Stark was found dead in a trash bin in January

Police say they've arrested a man in the killing of a Brooklyn landlord whose body was found in a trash bin on Long Island.

Menachem Stark was found dead Jan. 2. He had been seen on surveillance footage being strong-armed into a van by two men in Williamsburg after he left work that day.

The father of seven owned and renovated several buildings in Brooklyn.

Three men were questioned Wednesday, and sources said one of the men made statements admitting a role in the killing of Stark.

Kendel Felix, 26, of Brooklyn, was later arrested and charged with second-degree murder. Attorney information was not immediately available.

Robbery appears to be the motive in the killing -- sources say Stark was targeted by people who knew he carried large amounts of cash.

He was tied up and thrown in the van, and at some point he died, so they burned his body, sources said.
