Authorities are investigating the death of a 56-year-old woman who was found unconscious in a holding facility in Queens Wednesday.
Police had no additional information on potential charges the woman had been facing, nor did they immediately release her identity.
Officers assigned to Queens Central Booking in Kew Gardens found her unresponsive in the holding facility around 8 a.m., authorities said.
She was pronounced dead at a hospital. The medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine how she died.
The NYPD's Force Investigation Division is investigating.
