Police say they have arrested one of the three men wanted for slashing a subway rider at random in Queens.
Officials say 31-year-old Kaiseem Tankersley is accused in the attack on an uptown A train earlier this month.
The victim told police he was approached by a group of men when one of them suddenly gashed him across the left side of his face. He ran off the train, severely bleeding, at the 60th Street station and the attacker got away.
He told NBC 4 New York it was an unprovoked attack that required 20 stitches along his jaw line so painful, it's hard to talk.
Tankersley is charged with assault and a parole violation, according to police. It wasn't clear if he had an attorney who could comment on the allegations against him.
Police say the other two suspects are suspected of being involved in some manner, but that part is still under investigation. They have not been apprehended, according to officials.
