Gov. David A. Paterson announced Friday the government will pour $2.3 million dollars more into a program aimed at helping foreclosure victims around New York.
The newest grant will be provided to non-profit agencies for homeownership assistance and foreclosure prevention counseling, advocacy, and legal services.
The $2.3 million is in addition to the 53 awards totaling $21.2 million were allocated by the Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR) in 2008 under the New York State Subprime Foreclosure Prevention Services Program.
