The man charged with killing a teenage girl and then posting photos of her body online has been transferred from a hospital to an upstate New York jail.

Brandon Andrew Clark was arrested after Utica Police found him next to the body of 17-year-old Bianca Devins outside a vehicle Sunday. Police say he slit Devins' throat, killing her.

Police say the the 21-year-old stabbed himself in the neck and took selfies on a tarp covering Devins' body. He posted a photo online, where it was widely circulated.

He was charged late Monday with second-degree murder and remanded after arraignment.

Devins and Clark met on Instagram about two months ago, acccording to police. Initially, they were online acquaintances only, but the "relationship progressed into a personally intimate one," police said. "They had spent time together, and were acquainted with each other's families."

The two attended a concert together Saturday night in New York City, where they got into an argument and left sometime after 10 p.m. They arrived back in Utica early Sunday and went to a spot on a dead-end street near a wooded area, according to the police statement.

There, they argued until Clark used a large knife to kill the teenager, police said. Authorities began receiving calls around 7:20 a.m. Sunday, reporting that a man posted on a social media site that he had killed a person.

Syracuse.com reports that investigators believe Clark was enraged when Devins allegedly kissed someone else before or during a concert in New York City Saturday night.

Devins' funeral will be held Friday.

It was not immediately clear if Clark retained an attorney to comment on his behalf.
