Man, 26, Accused of Killing His Grandmother

The 62-year-old woman's body was found stuffed in a basement closet, police said.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on murder charges in the death of his grandmother, police say.
Police found the body of 62-year-old Rosemary Little inside her Queens home Monday night, stuffed in a basement closet.

Police arrested Christopher Jackson on Tuesday and charged him with murder and tampering with physical evidence. They say he lived with his grandmother.

Neighbors and relatives told the Daily News Little raised Jackson after the death of his mother.

It was not immediately known if Jackson had a lawyer.

Relatives told the News that Little's body was found in a basement closet wrapped in a blanket. Police suspect she was strangled, the paper said. A medical examiner will make the final determination.

This is the second time cops found the body of an older women stuffed in a closet in as many weeks. The body of a 76-year-old grandmother was found stuffed in an East Harlem closet on March 30.
