A 34-year-old tourist from France was arrested on a reckless endangerment charge Friday for allegedly going into a restricted area of the Brooklyn Bridge to take photos.
Police say the man was seen on the beams of the bridge over the roadway on the eastbound side of the span. He posed a risk to drivers, authorities said.
Authorities ordered the man to come down off the beams and he refused, police say. Members of the NYPD's Emergency Service Unit eventually took him into custody.
