Masked, Armed Robbers Hit Queens Deli, Steal Cash and Cigarettes

Police say one of the men pointed a gun at people who were forced onto the floor

Police are looking for two masked robbers who stormed into a Queens deli, forced people onto the floor, pointed a gun and demanded cash.

The men, one wearing a red bandanna on his face, and the other wearing a ski mask and carrying a backpack, entered the Family Deli and Grill on Jamaica Avenue at about 11:15 p.m. Friday night.

Police say the man in the bandanna pointed a gun, and the owner says he and his cousin were forced onto the floor while the other man grabbed two cartons of cigarettes.

Hizam al Audi, the owner, said he is frightened that the men will come back to the store, which has only been open for a month.

The robbers fled with cash and cigarettes.
