One man was killed and another was wounded early Sunday when gunfire erupted outside a northern New Jersey strip club, authorities said.
The shooting at 21 Foxes Go-Go in Newark was reported around 2:25 a.m., Essex County prosecutors reported to the NJ.com website. When police arrived at the scene, they were told the two shooting victims had already been driven to University Hospital in a private vehicle.
Sharod Coleman, 23, of East Orange, was pronounced dead shortly before 3 a.m. at the hospital, authorities said. The wounded victim, whose name was not released, was hospitalized in stable condition.
A motive for the shooting remains under investigation, and no arrests have been made.
The Essex County Sheriff's Crime Stoppers program is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
In December, a Georgia man was killed and a Newark woman wounded outside the strip club.
