Some seriously sweet specs are coming to stores this winter thanks to Victoria Beckham, who's adding optical frames to her fashion empire, WWD reported.
The nearsighted designer had trouble finding the right pair of spectacles for herself—until now.
“I do need to wear glasses—[but] I haven’t found glasses that suit me or that I particularly like,” Beckham told WWD. "I’ve always been quite self-conscious [about this], so that’s why I’ve decided to do them myself."
The optical line follows her sunglasses line, with each style in the six-piece collection to be offered in three colors. The frames will be handcrafted in Italy and will retail for about $410, and include a unisex pair called "Heavy Square" that Beckham and her husband reportedly both wear.
The designs will include both chunkier shapes, metal-framed aviators and more feminine styles in a palette of tortoiseshell, jewel tones, yellow and forest green.
Beckham added: “I will be wearing my glasses now, and it will be nice to see where I will be going for once.”
The specs will be available in January. No word yet on U.S. retailers—stay tuned!
