Steamroller Brooklyn punks The Men made one of the most appealingly pulverizing New York albums of the year with Leave Home, which found room for some hooks in between the fury. Home has found its way on to several end-of-the-year lists, but apparently The Men are unwilling to rest on their laurels even a little.
Open Your Heart will be released on March 6 via Sacred Bones, and we have been promised a more diverse sonic experience, with elements of country, surf and psychedelica mixed in with all the bash and pop.
The Men will celebrate the album's release with a show at 285 Kent on March 7, and they will also play Rochester's The Bug Jar on March 23.
