Show Us Your Sales Office: Herzog & de Meuron's 56 Leonard

All this market doom-and-gloom got you down? Rest assured, there are still developers out there willing to spend a buck to make ten back. Or at least that's the plan down at 75 Leonard Street, where a formerly vacant storefront has been built out to perfection by Swiss starchitects Herzog & de Meuron, who designed this tidy companion piece to their 57-story tower of glass down the block, now under construction. The sales office for the Alexico Group's ambitious 145-unit luxury condo building has been open since mid-September, but H&dM—perfectionists that they are—put the final touches on the space about two weeks ago, the asterisk being that tweaks may still be on the way. Given the brand name, famed Tribeca location and modern design, this office should see a steady stream of internationals (though maybe they prefer uptown?). Let's hope they bring their checkbooks.
