A New York court has awarded $1.6 billion to more than 100 women who say they were sexually abused by a former pediatrician on Long Island.

In a tragedy on Long Island, a 15-year-old boy was charged with murder and attempted murder as prosecutors alleged he stabbed his own grandmother to death and seriously injured his mom over what investigators said was a rampage that stemmed from a fight over the teen’s computer. The roof collapsed during a show at a popular nightclub in Santo Domingo. Among the victims killed was former Mets and Yankees pitcher Octavio Dotel, who was pulled from the rubble alive but later died at the hospital.
