    NYWFF Wrap Up: The Events, The Parties, and News from the Eater Lounge

    It was quite a wild weekend in the Meatpacking District as some of the city's, and the country's, best chefs, food writers, farmers, and food personalities descended on West 14th Street for the first annual New York Wine and Food Festival. For our part, we had over a dozen major chefs through the Eater blogger lounge to discuss their new projects and their thoughts on the events—check in later for Sue Torres, Carlos Suarez, Tim Stark, and more. If you haven't been following along, a quick recap of the coverage:

    Events: At Friday night's epic Burger BashKatie Lee Joel came away with a surprise win with her patty melt, Tom Colicchio rocked the stage at the Daily Candy Midnight and Munchies, the Grand Tastings were like a big, delicious, drunken supermarket, and over 50 pastry chefs came out to represent at Saturday Night's Sweet. As for yesterday's events that we haven't covered yet: The Adria demo was a magic moment for the festival. Lee Schrager was visibly moved. People were really feeling it, but it was in the end, Ferran just being Ferran. Mohegan Sunset somehow actually made the Gansevoort feel more seedy than it is.

    Major Highlights from the Eater Lounge: Scott Conant on Scarpetta in Miami, Tom Colicchio discusses stage fright, the economy, Seamus Mullen and Yann de Rochefort on Boqueria 2.0 and their new Boqueria Burger, David Rabin discusses the new Lotus and a new project with Geoffrey Zakarian, the owners of Charles talk about their resy policy, Marco Maccioni on the economy and Le Cirque, Morimoto on trying to lose weight, Rob Kaufelt brings by some meat samples from the new Murray's Cheese project, Adam Perry Lang and Michael Schlow talk burgers, and Alex Guarnaschelli talks up her new show.
