GREAT SCOT: KT Tunstall’s songs tend to be of the wall-of-sound variety, but the talented pop-rock Scot will drop the pop in favor of the rock in an acoustic set at Hiro Ballroom. What with her excellent songsmithery and gravelly vocals, we can’t wait. 9PM.

XX FACTOR: If Jennifer Weiner is the mother of the chick-lit genre--nearly 10 years after publication, her debut Good in Bed still regularly flies off shelves at airport bookshops, and she’s gone on to write more than half a dozen other bestsellers—her work is far smarter and wittier than 99% of the genre’s spawn. See for yourself: She brings her latest, a mother-daughter relationship study called Fly Away Home, to the Lincoln Triangle Barnes & Noble at 7:30PM.

TEMPTING: Welcome to the ’70s, kids: In a heart-stoppingly awesome double bill, Squeeze (catchy pop songs, brilliant dude harmonies) and Cheap Trick (progenitors of power pop) take on Radio City Music Hall. ’Nuff said. 8PM.
