    Award-winning Gus Rosendale is NBC 4 New York’s 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 11 p..m. weekday reporter. Rosendale is fill-in anchor on “Weekend Today in New York” with Pat Battle and Contessa Brewer that airs Saturday from 6 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. and on Sunday from 6 a.m. – 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.

     

    Rosendale covers breaking news around the tri-state area and most recently reported extensively on the Newtown, Connecticut school shootings and the Boston Marathon Bombing.  Rosendale covered Hurricane Sandy and its devastating aftermath from his hometown of Long Beach and as part of NBC4’s team-coverage, is the recipient of a New York Emmy, a National Emmy and Edward R. Murrow award.

    Rosendale joined News 4 New York in February 2012 from KSTP-TV (ABC) in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN where he was the 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. weekday anchor and assignment reporter.

    Rosendale first joined the NBC family in 2000 at WPTZ-TV (Hearst/NBC) in Plattsburgh, NY and Burlington VT where he anchored the 5 P.M., 6 P.M. and 11 P.M. newscasts. Rosendale covered the Salt Lake City Olympics.

    Rosendale received his degree in Journalism and Political Science from the American University in Washington, D.C.
