There were some delays on the A, B, C and D lines of the subway Thursday evening as police and firefighters responded to a report of suspicious package.

Someone called in a report of a box on a northbound B train in the area of 53rd Street and 7th Avenue at about 4:30 p.m., officials said. Train service was delayed as the fire department and NYPD's bomb squad responded.

    An all-clear was issued before 6:15 p.m.

Service has resumed on the trains. There may be some residual delays, according to mta.info
