NJ Transit Train With 800 Passengers on Board Gets Stuck in Tunnel Out of Penn Station: Officials

A New Jersey Transit train got stuck in a tunnel while pulling out of Penn Station Friday night, officials say.

The Trenton-bound train was pulling out at around 9:30 p.m. when it got stuck in the north tube of the Hudson River tunnel, NJ Transit officials said. Around 800 passengers were on board.

A diesel train went to pull the disabled train back into Penn Station shortly after 10 p.m. The passengers were expected to be put onto a new train and proceed with the trip to Trenton.
