Jersey City Landlord Doused Tenant in Lighter Fluid: Police

Police say a Jersey City landlord doused his tenant in lighter fluid and attempted to set him on fire because of a rent dispute.

Authorities charged 45-year-old Edward Leiseca, of West New York, with entering a structure without a license, aggravated arson and two counts of possession of a weapon. The two weapons possession counts were for both the lighter fluid and the lighter.

Prosecutors tell The Jersey Journal Leiseca had a rent dispute with his tenant before he forced his way into the man's apartment on Saturday and threw lighter fluid on him.

Colorado pizza parlor staff were shocked to find a bear cub in their kitchen. KOAA’s Zach Thaxton reports.

Leiseca was ordered to have no contact with the location or his tenants.

It's not known if he has a lawyer who can comment on the charges.
