NJ Man Found Dead of Hypothermia in NY Mall Parking Lot

Cops say man had disappeared before

Police say a New Jersey man who died of hypothermia was in his parked car for at least two days before he was found at a New York mall.

Clarkstown police said 40-year-old Min Choi of Fort Lee, N.J., was unconscious for some time before dying.

A shopper found him on Friday evening outside the Palisades Center in West Nyack, N.Y. Police estimated that he had been there since Wednesday evening.

Police couldn't say why Choi was unnoticed for two days. Mall management declined to comment to The Journal News.

Clarkstown authorities said that in a previous incident, Choi's family had reported him missing to New Jersey police several weeks ago. He was later found at a motel.
