Pet Wallaby Goes Missing From NY Home

A pet wallaby has been missing from its New York home for three weeks, its owners say.

Indy the wallaby was last seen in his pen outside the home in North Salem, where he somehow got loose.

While Indy had a pen outside, he did spend time in the house, including taking meals of lettuce and sweet potatoes while sitting on the couch.

There have been random sightings in the town, but none were confirmed to be the marsupial.

Wallabies are smaller than kangaroos and are native to Australia and New Guinea.

Town supervisor Warren Lucas told the Journal News there are no regulations on keeping wallabies.
