Mayor Bloomberg was unusually tongue tied Thursday as he tried to say the words "slurred speech" at a news conference on why drunk people shouldn't carry guns.
While describing the symptoms of intoxication, Mayor Bloomberg unwittingly demonstrated one.
"That would include things like surred.. uh.. shhh.. shll...shhlurred speech.." the Mayor said, immediately noting the irony as the room broke into laughter.
"Not for me," he added, "I didn't have anything to drink today."
