Police say they've arrested a suspect who attacked a man and his 6-year-old daughter inside a Bronx laundromat.

Police said Fernando Gonzalez, 27, walked into Giant Laundromat at 4825 White Plains Road in Wakefield Saturday evening and punched a customer inside, then sprayed Mace on him and the young girl.

Laundromat employee Veronica Rucero said Gonzalez was angry over someone taking his wife's laundry cart during the busy hours and beat up the person he thought had snatched it.

Customers at the business Monday were most alarmed a child was caught up in the violence.

"People have no conscience," said Nicki Sterling. "How could you do that around a little girl and just live with yourself like that?"

Gonzalez turned himself in to police and was charged with assault, police said. It wasn't clear if he had an attorney.
