The search for a missing fisherman whose sunken boat was found near New Jersey has ended for the day, but will resume again tomorrow morning, the Coast Guard said.
The fisherman, Edward Broderick, has been missing since Saturday night, officials said. A friend reported to the Coast Guard that Broderick was last heard from at around 6 p.m. while his boat was en route to a clamming facility in Highlands, N.J.
Broderick's boat was found submerged outside the clamming facility's marina.
Coast Guard crews searched the area by boat and helicopter throughout the day Sunday, but where unable to locate Broderick.
