An 11-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on a Queens street when a man approached her and asked for help repairing his bicycle, authorities said.

He's now being sought by police.

The man rode up to the girl at Whitney Avenue and Broadway in Elmhurst at about 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, police said. He was on a black mountain bicycle and asked the girl, who was also riding a bike, for assistance.

That's when he assaulted the girl, then fled on his bike.

The man is described as about 35 to 45 years old and about 6 feet 2 inches. His bike had a black seat with red stripes, police said.

    The girl was not hurt.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS or at nypdcrimestoppers.com. All calls will be kept confidential.
