The Rev. Al Sharpton won’t be throwing his weight behind his daughter’s fight against the NYPD.

Dominique Sharpton, 23, who was arrested with her  mother Friday night after a traffic violation in Harlem asked her famously fiery father to “stay out” of her upcoming trials and tribulations, Rev. Al wrote on his Twitter page Sunday.

“I met with them and the attorney after the rally yesterday [Saturday] and was told to stay out of it,” Sharpton tweeted. “Dominique is grown and certainly can handle herself.”

He said Dominique’s mother, Kathy Jordon, “showed the concern any mother would show.”

A spokeswoman for Sharpton said Dominique wants to show that there the younger generation can handle leadership.

"She asked her to Dad to let her handle it to show her maturity and to signal that she didn't need him to intervene on her behalf," Rachel Noerdlinger told NBC New York. "Almost like 'I'm grown Dad, I got this.'"

Kathy Jordan, 53 and daughter Dominique, allegedly sped through a light on Eighth Ave. uptown on Friday, and were immediately pulled over by cops, who began writing the women tickets for the violation -- but the Rev's ladies weren't having any of it.

Jordan and her daughter reportedly got increasingly aggressive with the officers, who slapped the two with charges disorderly conduct and obstruction of governmental administration.
