Stephen Colbert wrested control of his Super PAC from Jon Stewart Monday night after chasing the “Daily Show” host on foot through the streets of New York City.

“Colbert Super PAC is officially back,” Colbert declared on the “Report.”

He noted that at 12:01 a.m. his political action committee would reveal in a filing with the Federal Election Commission how much it has raised.

“I think some people are going to be pleasantly…dropping a load in their pants,” Colbert said.

Colbert’s “Americans for a Better Tomorrow, Tomorrow” later said in its filing that it's raised $1,023,121.24.
