Upon hearing reports that the Noho Urban Outfitters was on fire, we stopped by 628 Broadway scope out the scene. As of 2:30pm, the fire had been extinguished and a colorful "we're closed [sad face]" sign was posted to inform shoppers of the obvious.
Shockingly, besides the store's closure, there was barely any indication that a two-alarm fire at had caused this morning's smoke plumes, which could be seen from as far away as Sixth Avenue. From what we could see through the storefront's glass doors, there was no damage sustained to the ground floor structure or merchandise, nor were there any injuries reported. Fortunately for the area's hipster population, the clothing especially seems completely unscathed.
